Stereum 2.0 Beta Updates
Lets jump right into the bugfixes.
The first problem today occurred when updating only one service, the update would run fine, but the service wouldn’t restart automatically.
Another bugfix of the last two weeks was that you couldn’t change the memory usage then using teku as a service. Of course that is now a thing of the past.
Also we have a big style change with our icons this time, from the rc4 we will have new icons for our consensus clients.
A big chunk of our resources went again into the custom installation. As you can see the custom installation is moving forward nicely and we are confident that it will be implemented soon. In the Edit Node Page you are able to drag and drop Plugins out of the right element. Doing this you are presented with some options to modify and connect your plugin with others and customize port configuration.
Also, as you can see a new network display is joining the node page as well as the edit node page. Here you are even able to be change your network configuration for your node at any point by using the drop-down menu.
What’s is mainly currently missing is the task que on the right, where you will have an overview over potential changes you want to make as a user, before confirming them.

Another big feature that we have implemented in the backend is Geth pruning. You can access prunning by opening the plugin settings and toggling the pruning bar. This is it so far for Geth, however pruning for Nethermind & Besu might still take a while.
A smaller bugfix that is still very important was that keys that are in the process of being deleted weren’t marked red – this is now fixed.
We also adjusted some changes for our updates and we also had a lot of little changes in the control panel page and the settings page: we removed the dummy values, styled the scroll bars and you can now search for your ETH address in the credits page.
DevCon Week in Bogota
A part of our Stereum team is joining the ETHBogota and DevCon in Bogota. We would really love to see you guys there. We will have a booth there and of course we will join events and talks at the Devcon. If you want to meet us there, write to us! We are also going to film a lot at the Devcon and our interviews are also coming back so stay tuned for what that!
