Devcon 7 is over and it was a great success - for everyone.
Around 12,500 attendees from 130 countries where there, among those about 60 % first-timers. Devcon 7 offered more than 300 hours of content, and because there were lots of events held around it, like The Staking Summit, organizers estimate that about 30,000 people attended Bangkok just for Ethereum.
Altogether, DC7 SEA was the biggest Devcon so far, showing impressively the vast and still-growing interest in Ethereum.
We from Rocklogic loved the opportunity to be among this inspired community, to present our Ethereum tool Stereum both at our booth and in several great workshops, and for all the conversations we had with so many enthusiastic people.
Again, we learned a lot and want to thank everyone who participated in this incredible week!
Here are some impressions from our activities and the events we attended at Devcon 7:
Staking Summit
On November 8th @ 11:00 we held one of our workshops, “Fast Setup of an Ethereum Node”,
where we showed how to set up an Ethereum node, partly with protocols like Lido where you need less than 32 ETH.
Another one of those we held on November 13th @ 09:45, now for the actual Devcon:
Devcon Workshop - Empower the Ethereum Network With Your Own Node
Both workshop were well-attended and gave us already an impression of the vast interest that would follow by the end of the week at our own booth at Devcon.
Our Booth: Empower the Ethereum Network With Your Own Node
From November 14th to 15th it was the most intensive phase for RockLogic and Stereum Services, as our booth was nearly overrun by people - which made us very happy! All our team was there to explain how Stereum makes it easier to access Ethereum, and to indulge in further discussions.
The greatest experience, though, was the overwhelming success of Lin, our in-house artist who is responsible for the fancy Stereum artwork you all have grown to enjoy so much. In the spirit of the moment, Lin started to draw live so that our booth guests had something personal to take away!
We also attended the Lido Day, of course, being one of the most important community staking events, held a mini workshop at EthStakers Hub and, for the rest of the time, enjoyed what others had to contribute to the Ethereum community, as well as the versatile scenery & food, provided by the wonderful city of Bangkok.
Hope to see you all again very soon!
