New Features

  • Hardware monitoring
    • All client setups include a new dashboard which monitors hardware metrics (cpu, memory, disk, …) if grafana is used.
  • Voluntary exit of validator(s)
    • Exit a validator voluntarily and therefore stop staking with it without incurring penalties.
    • Supported clients:
      • Nimbus
      • Lighthouse (already enabled at beta-3)
      • Prysm (already enabled at beta-3)
      • Teku
    • Lodestar update to enable voluntary exit is still pending.
  • Unattended automized upates (experimental)
    • After upgrading to beta-4 open your stereum-control-center-cli to turn on unatteded automized updates. If enabled a job checks for updates every hour and installs updates in the early morning (between 0 and 6 am).
  • Monitoring dashboard updates
    • Updating Grafana dashboards for lighthouse (others will follow with beta-5).

Bugfixes

  • Prometheus on Prym only setup now runs with non-root user.
  • Corrected ports documentation (README.md on various setups).
  • Lighthouse slasher database size now limited to 16 gb.
  • Various service bugfixes through service updates, please review the release notes of the updated services for further information.

How to update?

Enter your control-center-cli by running

# stereum-control-center-cli

Then select “update” and enter beta-4-70 to update.
