STEP BY STEP GUIDE

RPC ENDPOINT

…you can use an Ethereum Node’s RPC Endpoint to send and receive transactions, or  run different dApps with it. In this guide we will show you how do it with Metamask.

  • ETHEREUM MAINNET
  • ETHEREUM TESTNET

PREPARATION

PART 1# PREPARE NODE

STEP 1#
LOG INTO YOUR SERVER

STEP 2#
SELECT ONE-CLICK INSTALLATION PRE-SET

STEP 3#
SELECT A SUPPORTED NETWORK

STEP 4#
SELECT THE "STAKING" PRE-SET

Note: Consider changing the selection to a Minority Client by clicking execution / consensus client in the menu to support the network.

WAIT FOR INSTALLATION

WAIT FOR SYNCHRONISATION

PART 2# INSERT RPC ENDPOINT

STEP 7#
Click on “CONTROL” to enter the Control Panel

STEP 8#
Here you can check if your node is synced

STEP 10#
Click on the “OFF” button to open your port

STEP 11#
Click on “GETH” (or your Execution Client) button to copy the RPC URL

STEP 12#
Now login to your dAPP or wallet you want to use (in our case MetaMask)

Click on the Network button

STEP 14#
Click on “Add Network”

Type in a name for your network

STEP 16#
Paste in the copied URL from Stereum

STEP 17#
Type in the CHAIN-ID your node runs on
(for GoerliTestnet it is 5)

STEP 18#
Type in “ETH” as the currency symbol

STEP 19#
OPTIONAL - you can paste in a Block Explorer URL

STEP 20#
Click on “SAVE”

STEP 21#
WAIT FOR SYNCHRONISATIONYou can now send your transaction OVER YOUR NODE WITH METAMASK. When you are done sending you transactions, click on “ON” to close your port
